Ok answers, I need people that can either appraise or someone who has purchased an item such as this. Unfortunately it is terribly heavy and I can't seem to locate a serial number, which I'm assuming is on the back? Because I have checked the soundboard and the area where the label is and can't find it yet. Yet being the main goal. Where should it be? (a side question) Alrighty, it's a player piano. Made by Hobart m cable. The label detail is ornate and immaculate. I'm an avid musician and I play a little piano but im a percussionist and a guitar player and I've been operating a recording studio for 6 years. I know the market for these types of instruments isn't too high but I'm looking for good advice or the confidence to actually have it appraised. It's a beautiful piano and the petals and the scroll work well and it still therefore plays. I also have music on scrolls for it to play on its own! Which is so neat, though I know it's pretty common. It's just cool. I've researched quite extensively and I've seen them being sold as well bought for prices from 300 bucks all the way up 9,000!?...
